What data we collect
To provide personalised food scores, KaiScan asks you to voluntarily set a health profile. This data is stored locally on your device. If you create an account, it is encrypted on our servers. We also collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics with no personally identifiable information.
How we use your data
Your health profile is used solely to calculate personalised food scores. It is never used for advertising, never shared with food manufacturers, and never sold to any third party.
Your rights
You can export all your data at any time from Settings → Your Data → Export. You can delete your account permanently from Settings → Your Data → Delete Account. Requests are processed within 30 days under GDPR and UK Data Protection Act 2018.
Security
All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3. Health profile data on our servers is encrypted at rest using AES-256. We conduct regular security audits.
Cookies
The KaiScan website uses only essential cookies and one privacy-respecting analytics cookie. No advertising cookies are used.
